Barn Owl in-flight – New Jersey

Even though Barn Owls are one of the most widespread of all birds, they aren’t seen by many, especially during the daylight hours. Not to long ago, I was lucky enough not only to see one but also to photograph it, here in Northern New Jersey. Surprisingly, this particular Barn Owl would fly very close to us, giving all gathered birdwatchers and photographers, great looks on its heart-shaped face:
